RMM, PSA & Security Tool Integrations
SynoGuard AI was designed from day one to live inside the MSP tool stack rather than alongside it. Each supported RMM, PSA, and security tool is connected through the vendor's official, documented API. Core compliance deployment is a configuration exercise, not an agent rollout.
At MVP launch: Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, and vPenTest (Kaseya). Phase 2 adds Kaseya VSA, ConnectWise Automate, NinjaOne, and ConnectWise PSA. A pluggable connector architecture means additional RMMs, PSAs, and security tools can be added without disrupting existing tenants.
What "Snap-In" Actually Means
Core compliance scoring, drift detection, and evidence collection use the telemetry your RMM and PSA already produce. No new endpoint agents required for the compliance engine.
A dedicated SynoGuard endpoint agent (<50 MB, <1% CPU, Windows 10/11) enables shadow AI discovery and AI ethics monitoring. Deployable via your existing RMM scripting.
The platform reads from the RMM and PSA APIs on a continuous polling and webhook basis. It does not maintain a parallel telemetry pipeline.
Tickets, remediation scripts, and configuration item updates are written back into the systems technicians already use, so the day-to-day workflow stays in the RMM and PSA.
The connector understands the multi-tenant structure of each supported RMM and maps client organizations through automatically.
Each connector requests only the API scopes required for the capabilities the MSP enables. Principle of least privilege enforced at the API layer.
Endpoint Agent Note: The optional SynoGuard AI endpoint agent (<50 MB, <1% CPU, Windows 10/11) is required only for the AI Ethics & Responsible Use module — specifically for shadow AI discovery and Ethics Posture Scoring. It is deployed via your existing RMM scripting and performs metadata-only scanning (process names, DNS queries, network destinations, browser extensions). No content inspection. No keylogging. No clipboard access.
Integration Flow
MSP authenticates the RMM, PSA, and security tool connectors with minimum-necessary API scopes
Telemetry flows continuously from devices, patches, alerts, backups, logs, tickets, pen-test findings, and configuration items
The Compliance Engine normalizes the data, maps it to all 12 framework controls, and produces a live score
AI agents push remediation scripts, open tickets, generate documents, and update client portals — bi-directionally
MVP Launch Integrations
Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, and vPenTest (Kaseya) are the three integrations available at initial product launch.
Connection
Official Datto RMM REST API (v2 and v3 endpoints) using API-key authentication scoped to the MSP's Datto account
What SynoGuard Reads
Device inventory, audit data, patch status, antivirus and EDR status, alert history, monitor status, and site / customer organization mapping
What SynoGuard Writes Back
Component (script) execution requests, alert acknowledgements, and status comments — all subject to the MSP's existing approval workflow
Benefit: A drift detected by SynoGuard AI becomes a Datto RMM job within seconds, executed by the agent that is already on the endpoint.
Connection
Official Autotask REST API with API user credentials
What SynoGuard Reads
Companies, configuration items, contracts, tickets, and resources
What SynoGuard Writes Back
New tickets, ticket notes, and configuration item compliance status updates
Benefit: Compliance findings become first-class tickets inside the workflow technicians already live in, with the SynoGuard AI evidence link attached for full traceability.
Connection
vPenTest API integration via Kaseya platform — pen-test findings ingested on scan completion
What SynoGuard Reads
Pen-test findings, vulnerability details, CVSS scores, affected assets, and remediation recommendations
What SynoGuard Writes Back
Compliance gap records mapped to PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-171, and ISO 27001 controls; remediation tickets in Autotask PSA
Benefit: Pen-test findings are automatically mapped to compliance controls, closing the loop between offensive security testing and continuous compliance posture management. No manual mapping required.
Phase 2 Integrations
These integrations are in active development and scheduled for Phase 2 release. The pluggable connector architecture means they can be added without disrupting existing MVP tenants.
Connection
Official Kaseya VSA REST API with token-based authentication
What SynoGuard Reads
Managed machines, audit data, patch state, agent procedures, alarms, and organization / machine group structure
What SynoGuard Writes Back
Agent procedure execution requests and alarm updates, scoped to the machine groups the MSP has authorized
Benefit: Kaseya's organization model maps cleanly into the SynoGuard AI tenant model, so a multi-org Kaseya deployment becomes a fully populated multi-client environment on first connection.
Connection
Official ConnectWise Automate REST API with token authentication
What SynoGuard Reads
Computers, contacts, locations, patch status, monitor results, scripts, and ticket linkage
What SynoGuard Writes Back
Script execution requests and monitor acknowledgements
Benefit: When Automate is paired with ConnectWise PSA, SynoGuard AI can correlate compliance findings to existing service tickets without creating duplicates.
Connection
Official NinjaOne public API using OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow
What SynoGuard Reads
Devices, organizations, locations, patch state, antivirus status, alerts, activities, and custom fields
What SynoGuard Writes Back
Script run requests, custom field updates, and alert resolutions
Benefit: NinjaOne's clean organization-and-location hierarchy lets SynoGuard AI represent even very large MSPs with hundreds of client tenants without manual mapping.
Connection
Official ConnectWise Manage REST API
What SynoGuard Reads
Companies, contacts, service tickets, configuration items, and contracts
What SynoGuard Writes Back
New service tickets, ticket notes, and configuration item status updates
Benefit: Paired with ConnectWise Automate, this creates a fully closed-loop compliance and remediation workflow inside the ConnectWise ecosystem.
